LIFE GREEN ADAPT partner Isle Utilities attended the IDB Annual Assembly in Panama in March 2023. Dr. Blanca Antizar, European Director of Isle Utilities and Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at UCL, presented the LIFE GREEN ADAPT project in the context of how to promote innovation in the water and sanitation sector in Latin America and the Caribbean at a panel on sustainable and digital infrastructure at the IDB Group’s Annual Assembly. Blanca outlined the barriers to innovation in the sector as well as examples where innovation is succeeding, giving the example of the innovative LIFE GREEN ADAPT project that uses nature-based solutions to make landfill sites more resilient to climate change.
