LIFE GREEN ADAPT Project

The LIFE GREEN ADAPT project brochure and noticeboard are now available for download in English, with the brochure also offered in Spanish. These materials clearly outline the project’s goals and expected results, featuring a process diagram that illustrates how nature-based solutions are being developed to improve landfill resilience to climate change.

LIFE GREEN ADAPT released its first newsletter earlier this year, celebrating one year since the project began in June 2021. The publication provides an overview of key achievements and progress made to date. It’s available for download from the Resources section of the project website.

The first LIFE GREEN ADAPT webinar, “Green and Nature-based Solutions for Climate Change-Resilient Infrastructure,” took place on 24 May 2022. Delivered by ISLE, the session explored global climate examples, demo cases, and blue-green infrastructure, featuring speakers from ISLE, AIMEN, AU and UPC.

On 24 May 2022, LIFE GREEN ADAPT hosted its first webinar, exploring global examples of nature-based solutions for climate-resilient infrastructure. Presentations from project partners and experts are now available online. The webinar recording can be viewed on the project’s YouTube channel, and the presentation is available to download.

LIMNOS presented LIFE GREEN ADAPT at the 9th International Water for All Conference in Croatia, taking place from 19-20 May 2022. Held to coincide with World Water Day 2022, the session brought together 40 participants from water management and conservation sectors to share knowledge and best practices. LIFE GREEN ADAPT, led by AIMEN Centro Tecnológico, demonstrates how Blue-Green Infrastructure can improve landfill resilience to climate change. Through biotechnosoils and constructed wetlands, the project reduces pollution risks from extreme weather while promoting circular economy principles. Solutions are being validated in Spain and are designed for replication across Europe.

The LIFE GREEN ADAPT project will increase the resilience of EU waste infrastructures to climate change by the application of green and nature-based solutions. Read the Press Release #1 in the Resources tab of the webpage.
